A week or so ago, this little speech made its way around the internet a few million times.  And rightly so.  I haven’t seen a video so worthy of its viral status since Star Wars kid took our breath away a few years back.

This gentleman has an impressive four degrees!  So he must know what he’s talking about… he couldn’t just be memorizing quips and headlines from various news corporations.  I’m surprised one of his degrees isn’t in jazz performance, because the words he chose to emphasize in his speech could rival a Miles Davis solo in its level of unpredictability.

While Phil didn’t mention a single issue, his voice did crack 30 or so times.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that different styles of music tend to lend themselves better to different emotions.  It’s not any sort of rule, just a notion.  Western classical music from the 17th and 18th centuries tends to relax us, modern and avant-garde music tends to scare us, metal music tends to fire us up, and rock and hip-hop usually makes us want to get jiggy.

So, when a tune comes along that plays with these tendencies, I can’t help but be a bit excited.  Here, Cee Lo Green takes listeners on a very angry journey, but makes you want to dance at the same time… it’s  very strange and awesome.  Enjoy!

You can say anything you want about the two girls featured in today’s post, but you can’t say they don’t have a big pair of cojones.  They don’t take any flak from anyone, even helpful flak.  And by the end of the video, I think it’s pretty clear that they should have their own reality show.  It’s probably the only thing they’d be good at…

While a large amount of today’s most popular products manage to breakdown often or are designed to breakdown often, you may be pleased to know that there are still some products being made to last.  For instance, the common tennis ball: simple in design, practical to use, and as strong as the dirt we walk on.  In fact, it may be stronger!

With the help of one of the tennis world’s angriest – but extremely talented – athletes, Andy Roddick, we will see that a tennis ball can even put a scar in the Earth.

How do you top that without making Roddick into an anime tennis ninja?

This really brings me back to my childhood days watching enormously buff and agile actors fight each other in the “squared circle.”  Most of us knew this as professional wrestling, but we all know it would have been crap without the brilliant drama.  And the drama also dictated who won the fight.  So, from time to time, a small guy would beat a big guy at his own game…

But in reality, I have to think that somewhere in the back of most people’s minds, there is this thought about what you would actually do in a confrontation with somebody bigger than you are.  Whether it be how to talk your way out of the situation, how to end the fight quickly, or how to fall down with grace and without a concussion.  Regardless, at the end of this vid, one of these young ladies will wish that this situation was all written out and rehearsed beforehand.

Here at the Daily Angry, we tend to look at anger as a way that people lose control of themselves.  When caught on camera, we get to laugh, or think, or sometimes cry (you know who you are).  But here, I don’t think Mr. Rooney has lost control at all.  If anything, he seems to have better aim of his shot than he had in England’s 4-1 loss to Germany in this years World Cup tournament!

I feel bad for the camera man, but that’s guilt by association for you:

The anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech was this past Saturday.  Which, incidentally, was the day tens of thousands of tea-party protesters came and listened to Glenn Beck give a rousing speech about freedom and restoring honor to America.

Beck got a lot of flack for holding this on the same day, so he compromised and gave his speech several steps down from where MLK did his.  There was a huge amount of reverence for what MLK did, even if the subject matter wasn’t necessarily the same.

I really don’t know what to say about this.  Other than MLK wasn’t a man to be worshiped.  His message was never to revere the ground he stood on, but to take action in the name of freedom and unity.  Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are about as polarizing as one can get.  I think the video should show some of the irony (on both sides).

Course, I think the camera guy was goading people a bit.  Hence why I think both sides need to just chill and smoke a bowl or three.

As a heavyweight name in worldwide news, one can find Glenn Beck battling for one side of just about any major political debate more fervently than Winnie the Pooh once he gets his hands on a jar of honey.  Recently, he spoke out against those in the media who don’t actually report on news, but instead slander those with different views in an attempt to try and convince the audience of their righteousness.  I think you’ll understand how accurate he is once you listen to him explain how the media has painted this picture.

Thanks to a tip from mediamatters.org, I found out the rapscallion who started this slandering campaign to make Mr. Beck out to be some Andrew-Lloyd-Webber-type here. There’s nothing quite like a nice, upbeat tune to  help you appreciate a silly bout of rage.  Today, we’ll be featuring 009 Sound System’s hip tune “With a Spirit” to help you enjoy the action.  There was a version with talking instead of song, but do any of you really care what really happened?  If you do, I’ll humor you here.

Some quick Q&A: yes, this man’s rage will backfire.  Yes, another man in high waters is the one who provoked this.  And yes, this is the best shot you’ll see of of someone getting so mad that they rip off their shirt since E-Hulk spilled his cereal all over his Sunday comics three weeks ago.

All this stuff about “sanctity” is pretty funny to me.  Especially when it comes to putting a mosque/islamic community center near ground zero.  The presumption here is that it was Islam that caused 9/11.  That’s sort of like saying porn is the cause of child molesters.

Oh yea… but I forget, that people need to take a stand against oppression, and where better to do it?  It’s not like we need anyone to take a stand for the economy, or the collapse of the middle class, or anything.
